Spirit in Stone

St Mary’s Ponteland is included in this new guide: “Spirit in Stone”. It is produced by Inspired North East – www.inspirednortheast.org.uk – with the support of the Church of England and English Heritage. 123 churches in Durham, Newcastle and Northumberland are listed, with a photo, a short description and details of location and access arrangements. I supplied ten photos from this blog – I think it’s 10, you can count if you like! The guide was launched at St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle on Thursday 14 March, and copies are available in St Mary’s and at churches and Tourist Information Centres across the North East.
